I adore shooting events at a historic wedding venue! The perfect blend of the old and new is one of my favorites. I especially love the natural lighting and intricate details of older, repurposed spaces like warehouses, barns, and mills. And, when that dreamy setting pairs with an even dreamier couple, magic happens!
I was so honored to be a part of Jared and Lauren’s big day for all these reasons and more! Their wedding was held at a renovated cotton mill called The Loom at Cotton Mill Place in Simpsonville, South Carolina. This historic wedding venue was incredible – complete with soaring wooden beams, huge windows, and exposed brick walls. It made getting those natural, airy photos a breeze and this glowing couple certainly did their part as well!
Jared and Lauren are among the kindest and most fun-loving couples I’ve ever had the privilege to work with! Their genuine love for each other and their family and friends shone throughout the day. Laughter and love were bubbling over everywhere I turned and getting smiles for the camera was completely natural. It’s easy to see why these two are so adored!
I loved that Jared and Lauren chose to do a first look before their ceremony. Their first look was especially sweet as the two exchanged letters for the big day with one another.
Also, from a photography standpoint, an evening wedding in December means we lose the light fast. A first look insured us capturing these beautiful shots in this historic wedding venue before the sun went down.
Thank you again to this precious couple of including me in your gorgeous wedding! Wishing you both a lifetime of love and happiness! May you laugh together always!
